💥 100+ Video Ideas Inspired By Disneyland

The Wonderful World Of Disneyland (Paris)

I just got back from 2 days at Disneyland Paris. Whilst surrounded by the smiles, rides, overpriced food, pink castle and full grown adults dressed as those beloved characters… I had an abundance of video ideas for YouTube (Yep, when it comes to ideas I struggle to switch my brain off!).

Now, I don’t run a Disney themed YouTube channel, and I’m not suggesting you should either, but the same thought processes could prove useful for your channel too.

So if you often sit there scratching your head, thinking, “What can I create content about”, try this, as I reckon each one of these methods is good for at least 10 video ideas, probably many many more.

Document The Journey

Strategy: Record the entire travel experience, from planning to arriving, to give your audience a behind-the-scenes look. These types of vlogs work across niches, whether you're in travel, lifestyle, or even education.

Example: “A Day in Disneyland: How I Planned the Perfect Trip” or “What to Pack for an Unforgettable Vacation.”

Highlight the Unexpected

Strategy: Showcase the surprises or unexpected elements of your trip. Whether it’s a hidden gem you didn’t expect or an obstacle you overcame, this can be compelling content.

Example: “5 Unexpected Things I Discovered at Disneyland” or “How We Navigated a Disney Trip with Non-Stop Rain.”

Use Iconic Landmarks for Comparisons

Strategy: Use recognisable landmarks or experiences as metaphors or comparisons for your regular content.

Example: “How Building a Business Is Like Navigating Disneyland” or “What Thunder Mountain Taught Me About Taking Risks.”

Review Specific Attractions or Events

Strategy: Reviews can work across niches, whether you’re into technology, fashion, or books. Give detailed breakdowns of attractions or shows you attended during your trip, connecting them to your content.

Example: “Disneyland’s Best (and Worst) Attractions, Ranked” or “Disney’s Most Hated Bad Guys (Ranked)”

Offer Tips or Hacks

Strategy: Share practical advice that can make someone else’s trip better. These types of videos are popular because they solve problems for the audience.

Example: “Top 10 Disneyland Travel Hacks You Need to Know” or “The Ultimate Guide to Beating the Crowds at Disneyland.”

Explore the History and Storytelling

Strategy: Dive into the history of the park or particular rides, which can apply to broader storytelling or cultural content on your channel.

Example: “The Fascinating History of Disneyland Rides” or “The Fascinating Story Behind The Disney Castle”

Connect Experiences to Life Lessons

Strategy: Extract broader life lessons from the experiences you had on your trip. This approach adds value by making content relatable to anyone. A little like how I am writing this post!

Example: “5 Life Lessons I Learned from a Day at Disneyland” or “How a Rollercoaster Ride Taught Me to Embrace the Ups and Downs.”

Capture the People

Strategy: Feature the people you meet along the way. Whether they’re park employees, fellow visitors, or characters, focus on the human element of your experience. People love behind the scenes stories and characters.

Example: “What I Learned from Meeting Disneyland Cast Members” or “Conversations with Disney Fans: Meet The Fanatics.”

Focus on Visual Storytelling

Strategy: Use your footage to create visually compelling stories, even without dialogue. This is especially useful for creative, art, or cinematic-focused channels.

Example: “A Visual Journey Through Disneyland” or “Exploring Disneyland at Night: A Cinematic Experience.”

Create a “Challenge” Video

Strategy: Turn parts of your trip into challenges and invite your audience to do the same. Challenges drive engagement across a variety of channels, from fitness to lifestyle.

Example: “Can You Visit Every Disneyland Ride in One Day?” or “The Ultimate Disneyland Food Challenge.”

There you have it, ten strategies that can be applied to get that grey matter working and ideas inspired. Little Disney lightbulbs going off in your head.

This is before we even look at tools such as Vidiq, or 1of10, or browse YouTube itself to understand proven video ideas.

Let me know what you think? How can this apply to your content and have any of these strategies given you an idea for your next video?

▶️ Who Am I

Me

We are a number of editions into this newsletter now, and whilst it started with some familiar faces in the subscriber list, there’s a number of you now that I don’t recognise.

So let me introduce myself…..

  • A Dad. Husband. Employee.

  • A Video Creator

  • A Brit

  • A Realist

  • An IT Geek

  • A Lone Wolf

  • A Quiet Person

  • A Helper

  • A Man City Fan

  • A Learner. A Student

  • A Ukulele Beginner (That’s Being Generous!)

  • A Traveller

  • A Curious Bloke

Ultimately I created this newsletter, not because I am a YouTube guru wannabe or expert, but to help other people in the same situation as me. Living a busy AF life and wanting to find ways to express themselves through video content (and potentially improve their financial position too).

So that’s me. Little old me.

What about you? Feel free to reply and let me know more about your situation and what you are trying to achieve?

▶️ Learn Fast. Grow Fast

I believe in continuous improvement. Whether it is my career or content creation.

Each week I take one thing and try and improve it. To do so, I find good sources of knowledge - tutorials that I can follow along.

Often this is on YouTube but there is another platform which has been invaluable to me.

That platform is SkillShare.

Creators (like me), publish training courses on specific skills. Often going more in-depth on the “How To” than you may see on YouTube.

I choose the thing I want to improve. Find a suitable course. Then apply those skills until I become a slightly better creator than I was the week before.

Simple and effective.

Check it out if you want to develop your skills fast.
